Where the wild roses grow: Lululemon (#12daysofswimwear)

Lululemon: formerly known as “yoga attire experts” but more commonly known in designing swimwear, and creating pieces that are inspired by the region. For instance, they have swimwear in the Enex100 store which are taken from images of the Great Barrier Reef! This particular bikini pattern reminds me of a summer sunset with strips of cotton candy colours.

See, lululemon are pretty practical, they have made this particular bikini top to work for you when doing yoga then to go straight into the ocean, and if you want to take it one step further, paddle boarding yoga…then falling into the water won’t seem so drastic when you’re already in a yoga inspired bikini. They even call the piece Shanti which means “peace” in the yoga community. Lululemon are for fitness, staying healthy and keeping active – who am I to argue with a 20 year old business?

12 Days of Swimwear Rating (out of 5):

  • Comfort – 4
  • Practicability – 3 (after several cartwheels there were some nip slips)
  • Durability – 4.5

Their designs are sports inspired, so if you’re looking for something a little different – go online HERE or head in store to the Enex100 building! Be sure to get your right size, they work on American sizes, trying on a size 2 and 4 was somewhat strange…but these are a definite for trying before buying – don’t just assume it will fit! NEW pieces are dropping mid January – get in store now!
