Perth’s Waterside Restaurants

After moving to Mt Lawley I realised how much I missed the Rockingham beaches, during Summer it was a regular drive down the coast at least 3 times a week so I have been researching some beach/waterside jaunts to cover over the summer months.

I find the best way to explore beachside restaurants is in a bikini (Everything is better in a bikini!), versatility with an easy flowing dress, a pair of flats and a hat (Accompanied by a delicious array of lunch time treats).

The Shorehouse – The food, location, service, AND cocktails are all TOP of my list, I LOVE this place, and the yellow and white umbrella’s are the most beautiful addition to an already amazing interior. This has quickly become my favourite restaurant of all time! (Try the prawns and the Frosty Fruit cocktail – my faves!)

The Kiosk – The cutest little spot at City Beach, great if you want to grab a bite to eat on the weekend after a dip in the ocean!

The Blue Duck – Stunning views of Cottesloe, they offer a beautiful experience and wonderful customer service! (Plus, their portions are huge!!)

Ostro Eatery – Probably the best foreshore cafe in Rockingham right across from the waters edge. They have amazing coffee and are always super friendly, one of my favourite cafe’s in Rocko!

Bathers Beach House – Freo really has a little gem in bather’s, watching the sun set is the perfect dinner date! Upstairs is like a small club, check it out for some amazing seafood! My favourite!

Bib & Tucker – Looking for an instagram worthy cafe/restaurant, this is your jam! The food is amazing, the views are magnificent and it’s a little further out of Freo so parking isn’t such a massive issue! Win Win!

Odyssea – Although an amazing location, the last 2 visits to Odyssea have had less than amazing experiences. The balcony to the sea is stunning, and you are allowed to bring your pooch! I am going to give it one more chance before making a complete negative though!

Isle of Voyage – The interior reminded me of a Singaporean westernised restaurant and the view of Perth and the waters edge is simply STUNNING! I do remember having a delicious salad here for lunch. Obviously, being the city, parking is not ideal but it’s a great way to explore Elizabeth Quay and train/uber it in!

Amano Restaurant – Sunset views TO DIE FOR! The perfect spot for a summer date, with a large menu. Albeit slightly expensive, it’s worth going alone for the views. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert – the bombe alaska to SHARE is recommended! (No really, share it!)

Let me know if YOU have an addition to these restaurants and cafes so I can check them all out this summer! 🙂
