To do this weekend: 5 secret Perth beach’s
15 October, 2015
Iconic “Popular” beach’s in Perth aside (eg: Hillary’s, Scarbs, City beach), because crowds and burning skin is not exactly my idea of a day at the beach. I prefer the more secluded areas that not a lot of people go to because it’s either too far away (*Cough* Rockingham), or seriously secluded!
Where to go this weekend: Perth Beach’s
My top 5 for exploring:
- Hamersley Pools – 276 West Coast Dr, North Beach
- Kwinana Beach – Kwinana Beach Rd, Kwinana
- Point Peron Reef – Point Peron Road, Point Peron
- Marmion Marine Park Beach – West Coast Drive, Marmion
- Bennion (Dog) Beach – Bennion St, Trigg
I like really calm beach’s, most of these are that with small pools or reef’s and rocks for exploring, Point Peron has some of the most magical sunsets and Hamersley Pools (albeit has been discovered by a few) was always our favourite on the North Side of town. And I have to admit that Kwinana Beach has some of the clearest water I have ever seen.
What to wear this weekend: Togs from Jeanswest
I never realised that Jeanswest had bathers! I found these a few weeks ago and they fit perfectly, not to mention these easy-fitting beach pants that are great for throwing on after a swim when you get ice cream and then you are not criticised for the “Bathers Bathers Bathers UNDIES” debacle.
I am loving blue hues, nautical patterns and light breezy pieces for the weekends lately.
